Favourite Food: Seafood Favourite Footy Team: Swanies Favourite Dislikes: Big egos Favourite Song: Too many to list—depends on the mood! Solution to the Worlds problems: Love baby love! Memorable Gig Highs: Played a great gig at Albert Hall in Canberra. Another would be playing for the rangers at the Yarrangobilly Caves Memorable Gig lows: Waiting in a car park for 3 hours for the gig organiser to show up. Another time I spent the night in a room that stank of an overflowing septic tank! Star Sign: Aries (Also Chinese year of the Monkey) How did it begin: After starting off learning the piano (and hating it!) Wally began playing the drums and by the age of 12 years of age was performing at gigs with his sister playing the keyboard. Wally continued playing in several two and three piece bands including rock, jazz and blues and eventually in 1989 formed with the Blind Lemons blues band that performed for almost 10 years. During this time Wally “mucked around” in several different jazz outfits and also joined the Tin Shed Rattlers in 1989. His wild days and funky ways are still evident throughout the Rattler gigs!
